PIEDMONT POST-ACUTE, the building maybe older but the people who work there are so great to the folks there. Ive never seen anything like it. You’re greeted when you arrive. All day they have smiles on there face . They treated my mother whose been there twice in the last few months. When some leave going home for the day will come by and tell my mother bye and give her a hug. They treat them like family or friends . Most of these people this is there home and those that work there realize that and treat them with respect. Give them a chance , you wont regret it. Like all places there is room for improvement. The one big thing is waiting on someone to let you in or out. They should put a camera at the front entrance and a monitor at the nurses station with a keypad to open the door. Its an easy fix. Thank you all at PIEDMONT POST-ACUTE FOR ALL YOUVE DONE DOR MY MOTHER DURING HER STAY.

My mother—stage IV metastatic breast cancer—was sent there for rehab after a severe UTI and hospital stay, in the hopes of returning home with a caregiver once regaining some strength. I acknowledge that my mother was very ill and had a lot going on—however the overall lack of concern for her wellbeing was concerning. She was struggling to eat, participate in therapy, and get out of bed. Nobody once brought these things up as a concern, and when I insisted on getting her transferred back to the ER for a higher level of care, I was shrugged off by her nurse. “We don’t usually transfer patients just because they’re confused” was her response. Luckily, another nurse took me seriously and spoke with her provider to get her transferred. She was on hospice the next morning, and she was gone leas than 48 hours later. No outreach from the facility, no concern by the staff. PLEASE do not send a loved one here.
